Lead carbon battery is designed to solve the PSoC condition when the backup battery bank can’t be fully charged in time after discharge frequently. The activated carbon added to negative plate will largely reduce the sulfation to the negative plate,finally largely extend the battery life span. Meanwhile the added activated carbon will make the battery have a much better recharge capability, the lead carbon battery can be fast charged in a short time, it saves more than 30% charge time than traditional lead acid AGM battery.
It is important to keep lead-acid batteries fully charged after discharge. Small crystals of lead sulfate form on the battery plates during discharge and dissolve again during charge. If the battery is not fully charged, the crystals gradually recrystallize into larger crystals that are difficult to dissolve, preventing the battery from charging and actually reducing its capacity. This phenomenon, called sulfation, is a major contributor to early battery degradation.
Not only the battery capacity will gradually reduce along with the sulfation, but also the battery life will also be shortened. In order to solve this problem, another new technology lead carbon AGM battery is born.
